Tip-toe To Success

Little girl,

Don’t let this world question your existence,

For you were brought into this world by a queen.

Don’t let one’s words hurt you,

For you were groomed to conquer beyond grouped alphabets.

Don’t let anyone cause you heartache,

For you were redeemed from that nonsense in my womb.

Don’t drag your feet with them, honey!

Tip-toe to success.

Don’t let a bad experience bring you down,

For you were created to make those same mistakes and move on.

Don’t let anyone disrespect you,

For they were designed to earn that respect.

Don’t let anyone bully you,

For you inherited a mindset greater than your own depth.

Don’t drag your feet with them, honey!

Tip-toe to success.

Don’t let your lifestyle harm you,

For your promise of a good life are tales you can make a reality.

Don’t let them question your intelligence,

For your intellectual abilities can never be understood by shallow minds.

Don’t let anger ground you,

For your rage was meant to move mountains with your roar.

Don’t drag your feet with them, honey!

Tip-toe to success.

Don’t seek approval from the minority,

For you define the majority that lies within you.

Don’t let them manipulate you,

For your abilities to gerrymander in retaliation are deadly.

Don’t let them own you,

For your identity is as unique as your liberation.

Don’t drag your feet with them, honey!

Tip-toe to success.

Don’t let your talents go unnoticed,

For you are a replica of your mother.

Don’t let circumstances put your progress on hold,

For you have limited time to entertain procrastination.

Don’t let your joy overrule reality,

For you need universal guidance to balance your emotions.

Don’t drag your feet with them, honey!

Tip-toe to success.

Don’t let this overwhelm you,

For you have me by your side against all the odds.

Don’t drag your feet with them, honey!

Tip-toe to success.
